What We REALLY Do With Your Help
(ADULTS SECTION)
ANIMALS
"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you,"
A wise, kind human once said.

Where do we start with man's inhumanity
to animals?
Well, maybe with a not-so-obvious indirect destruction of their natural
environment, namely the melting of the polar ice caps due to our wanton abuse
of fossil fuels. For the first time ever in our history we are near to a time
when the ice caps will completely melt during the summer.
In a recently documented case a polar bear, so skinny that her
hip bones protruded through her fur, who was forced by habitat change and lack
of available food to eat her own cub to survive due to. This kind of desperate,
shocking behaviour has never been seen before.

At the beginning of the century, over 250,000 tigers
roamed proudly in the wild. Now the remaining 3,500 of this magnificent
creature hide fearfully from man. This highly revered animal is slaughtered because certain adults on our planet still believe in fairy tales and local
legends that say they will be cured of all sorts of ills and become an amazing,
virile lover if they consume medicines made of tiger parts!
We support projects that provide protected reserves for endangered animals and
provide effective solutions such as eco-tourism (to enable locals to make money
from protecting the animals and acting as guides, opening stores, tours, etc.),
raising awareness.
It only takes a small amount of money to keep a lot of these schemes running, and we research carefully to make sure the money we direct makes a difference.
